
Taran Mathur

Passionate about painting since the age of 3, Taran Mathur is an independent, self-taught artist who has played with various art mediums and strokes.
His experimental artwork caught his schoolteacher’s eye, and at the age of 11, it was displayed at the iconic Royal College of Art.


Since then, Taran has had no turning back.This online presence led to him being approached by the New Artist Fair, which resulted in his first art exhibition in 2016. The exhibition was a resounding success, and people from all walks of life appreciated his art. A majority of his works sold.
He has participated in the Pratham Art Exhibition at the Nehru Centre and several Pratham Galas. He has also participated in the City of London School Art Show 2018. In 2019, Taran was part of the ArtBaho exhibition in Barcelona. In April, Taran's art was showcased in London at The Holy Art Gallery as part of the Duotone exhibition 2024. Taran’s most recent exhibition was with the ITSLIQUID group in Venice as part of the Anima Mundi.


Taran’s art has travelled internationally and is well-received in England, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Singapore, Dubai, America and India. Taran has used his art to support charitable institutions. By auctioning his art, he has raised substantial amounts for charities. His latest artwork was displayed at The American School. He donated artwork benefiting The Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, USA. Pratham is a charity supporting underprivileged children in India and Taran has supported it for years.
The magazine The India Link has covered his art in their publications. Taran graduated with a business degree from Hult International University, Boston. He has now set up his own company, Abstracttaran Ltd. His paintings are filled with vibrant colours, dynamic motion, and profound emotion.
